CWG-98. U.S.
Group to Christian Von Ehrenfeld that includes
walking cane, sword, and revolver. Copy of hand written
paper from family that states history of Ehrenfelds which include
Christian states that he severed with the 41st N.York Regt. at
Gettysburg, PA as part of the Army of the Potomac. The Staff and
Field officer sword is in average condition, the Officers Army
Remington .44 cal revolver is heavily worn (can not read top marker
marks on barrel) and the mechanism no longer work properly (missing or
broken spring?) Cylinder spins freely and trigger does not
work hammer properly (both have free play). The Remington is a
very low serial numbered 4957. Walking cane is named and dated
1888. Overall an interesting Officer grouping that could use more
research............$1,900.
